VISION Mission Values #5 | gathering AND GOING

For many people, Sunday morning is the culmination of their church experience. They come, get something from the sermon, enjoy singing, and see their friends. They may even make plans to get together during the week.

While they see their coming, gathering and worshiping as part of their Christian spiritual experience, do they go out from the church building with a sense of mission and purpose?

What we envision for our church is a people who are purposefully gathering AND going. What they are doing Monday through Saturday is the outworking of what happens on Sunday.

We envision a blended family of diverse people

gathering together to joyfully worship King Jesus

and GOING OUT to proclaim and demonstrate God’s Kingdom

among all people, sectors of society and spheres of life.

Gathering and scattering. Coming together and going out.

But what are they doing when they go out? We'll cover that this week as we explore the Kingdom of God.

On Sunday, we explored "a blended family of diverse people gathering together to joyfully worship King Jesus", and this week we'll dive into "going out to proclaim and demonstrate God's kingdom among all people, sectors of society, and spheres of life."
