Jesus Is | Knowing His Names, Knowing Him

Names are important. There’s a story behind them every name. The more we know someone’s names, nicknames, and titles, the more we know them.

 Jesus has dozens and dozens of names. Names that represent his mission, his purpose, his nature, his role, his actions, his death, his effect on humanity. It is been estimated that Jesus easily has around 200 names in the New Testament alone.

If knowing someone’s name is to know them, can you imagine how much more we could know Jesus by learning about his names? Could our intimacy with him grow if we took just a few of those 200 names and learned about them in order to know him?
