Nov 27 Weekly Devotional: The Days Are Evil

Root deeper in the word and apply it to your life daily!

Devo 1:

Ephesians 5:1-7

Consider the ways in which you are living out your faith. Are you walking in love, following Christ’s example? What are there areas in your life where you are compromising with the world’s standards? Pray for wisdom and discernment to live out a life pleasing to God.

Devo 2

Ephesians 5:8-14

Reflect on your life before and after you accepted Christ. How has the light of Christ transformed you? Are there still areas of darkness that need to be exposed and dealt with? Pray for the courage to confront these areas and for the strength to live as a child of light.

Devo 3

Ephesians 5:15-20

Devotional: In the sermon, we learned about the importance of being wise and making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. What does it mean for you to live wisely in your current circumstances? How can you make the most of every opportunity to honor God?

Devo 4

James 4:7

Continue reflecting on the sermon's theme of spiritual warfare. Read James 4:7, which encourages us to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us. Reflect on what it means to submit to God. Consider how you can actively resist the devil in your life. Spend some time in prayer, submitting your worries, fears, and temptations to God.

Devo 5

1 Peter 5:6-11

Pastor John touched on the battle against the world, the flesh, and the devil. Reflect on the struggles you are facing. Are they related to worldly desires, your own sinful nature, or spiritual attacks from the devil? How can you resist the devil and draw near to God during these trials?
